"…our relationship with Leck Travel Service spans a 25 year period. Most often, that fact alone is enough of an endorsement.  However, I will choose to expand.  Many Travel Services can offer comparable service capabilities, but in addition, with Leck Travel Service, the biggest difference is their people. "I have used the services of Leck Travel since 1986, almost exclusively, for all of my travel needs including air fare, hotel, car rental, limo services, vacation planning and just about anything else that Leck Travel Service can take off of my busy schedule to handle for me.

In this age of electronic bookings, most folks act as their own travel agent and I can tell you that my CFO loves nothing more than to try and play "travel agent" in an effort to save money by booking our company travel on the internet. After his short lived trial at this, I ordered that we return to Leck Travel Service for all of our travel services.

It just doesn't pay me to spend an hour or more playing on the internet to book travel, and then (without fail) my flights are cancelled, late, re-routed, plans change or whatever. At that point, I have to call multiple airlines, car rentals or hotels and spend hours on hold, talking to less than friendly agents.

With Leck Travel Service, I make one phone call and everything is changed and taken care of.  Many, many times, in the case of a cancelled or severely delayed flight, I will be standing in line with 200 other frustrated flyers and be on the phone with Leck Travel, having my problem taken care of...long before I would be at the front of the line.  A quick phone call to Leck puts me in a seat that 200 other people are standing in line for.  For 40 bucks a ticket, I just cannot justify leaving a travel service that has for over twenty years knocked themselves out to make my travel life easier. 

I cannot say enough about the staff that Dave Leck has as a team. “We have been using Leck Travel Services for years.  Being very experienced business travelers and serving the hospitality business, the rise of the Internet allowed us to book our own travel from our desktops and notebooks.  As our business grew, more employees started traveling and more administrative staff time was spent servicing our internal staff’s travel needs and less on our business.

Finally, we knew that we needed to change our travel thinking when several other staff members experienced a 36 hour delay getting home on a holiday weekend.  Instead of these employees waiting on hold (on cell phones) for over 90 minutes with the airlines, a full service travel agent/travel partner would have been able to help our employees get new flights and get home in a timely manner.  We decided that the decision to use a travel agent was a must for our business.  Put plainly, we needed a Travel Advocate to help us with the routine and, most importantly, be there when things weren’t.  This is where Leck Travel fits our plans.

As a result of our partnership with Leck Travel we get:

  • a dedicated Travel Advocate, for airlines, hotels, transportation and car rental,
  • detailed help with our travel planning,
  • better organization of travel documents (via email to staff members and managers),
  • and, as a result, easy access from our smart phones,
  • courteous service no matter what the situation,
  • flight monitoring and automatic re-routing or re-booking in the case of weather, cancelations and other emergencies,
  • upgrade and seat preference monitoring, and
  • 24x7 access to our Travel Advocates, via a designated 1-800 number.

These are all important skills and services that we cannot easily, and should not, provide in-house when we have access to such a quality organization.  As the business owner, I can lay out the terms of our corporate travel (cost control) and Leck Travel follows those wishes with our employee requests.

We also use Leck Travel for our personal travel needs.  We cruise frequently, at least once per year, and usually have 4 to 6 other personal trips a year.  We find the people at Leck to be knowledgeable about the cruise ships, ports, cities, airlines and hotels that we use.  They are well aware of our personal preferences and go the extra mile to make our personal trips special.  I also feel much better having my wife travel alone on personal business.  They have helped her with numerous delays, cancelations and re-bookings and eased her travel tension; all part of the service.
